Layla Da Silva

Layla Pereira DaSilva is a Philosophy Specialist at the University of Toronto and the Editor in Chief of Noēsis the Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy. She actively advocates for LGBTQ2+ youth by drawing attention to areas of discrimination in law and public policy. She most recently authored a paper entitled, “The Birds and the Bees, but Not the Butterflies” that looks at how the Ontario curriculum discriminates against young members of the transgender community. To Layla, having lived and lived well means finding your passion and making it your life.
